Yehudi Menuhin (22 April 1916 – 12 March 1999) was an American violinist and conductor who spent most of his performing career in the United Kingdom. He was born in the United States, but became a citizen of Switzerland in 1970, and a British subject in 1985. He is widely considered one of the greatest violinists of the 20th century.

Maurice Gendron was a French cellist, conductor and teacher.
