LISZT : SEVEN HUNGARIAN RHAPSODIES - Ignaz Friedman , Mischa Levitzky , Alfred Cortot , Gina Bachauer , Ferruccio Busoni , Mark Hambourg , Cutn Solomon

                          (  Arabesque Recordings  8011 LP )

Ignaz Friedman ( February 13, 1882 – January 26, 1948) was a Polish pianist and composer. Critics (e.g. Harold C. Schonberg) and colleagues (e.g. Sergei Rachmaninoff) alike placed him among the supreme piano virtuosi of his day, alongside Leopold Godowsky, Moriz Rosenthal, Josef Hofmann and Josef Lhévinne.

Mischa Levitzki (also seen as Levitski; May 25, 1898 – January 2, 1941) was a Russian-born U. S.-based concert pianist.

Alfred Denis Cortot (26 September 1877 – 15 June 1962) was a Franco-Swiss pianist and conductor who was one of the most renowned classical musicians of the 20th century. He was especially valued for his poetic insight into Romantic piano works, particularly those of Chopin, Saint-Saëns and Schumann

Gina Bachauer (Greek: Τζίνα Μπαχάουερ; May 21, 1913, Athens – August 22, 1976, Athens), was a Greekclassical pianist who toured extensively in the United States and Europe.

Ferruccio Busoni (1 April 1866 – 27 July 1924) (given names: Ferruccio Dante Michelangiolo Benvenuto)[i] was an Italian composerpianist, conductor, editor, writer, and teacher

Mark Hambourg (Russian: Марк Михайлович Гамбург, 1 June 1879 – 26 August 1960) was a Russian-British concert pianist.

Solomon Cutner,  (9 August 1902 – 2 February 1988) was a British pianist
