以 Fresh Aire 一系列錄音獲得 TAS 入榜而著名的American Gramaphone Records 公司另有古典樂，這是莫札特 精選曲，包括著名二首序曲( 費加洛，魔笛 ) , 二首鋼協 ( 21 ,12 )及交響曲 NO. 39 ,嬉遊曲 K. 136 。資深樂友對於這類精選片段，或存有老饕不食千刀肉的成見，其實本唱片為商請 大師 John Rutter 指揮 的認真之作呈現了一流水平。

John Rutter 以擅長聖樂合唱作品也曾編寫多首聖樂 ,安魂曲作品，但最有名是 1983年錄製的 佛瑞 : 安瑰曲《1893年版首錄》獲得『1985年留音機大賞』而名重一時。以前聽慣大編制，最近多次聽這 1893年首錄版是愈來愈覺得雋永。

本唱片的錄音仍是由名錄音師 Tony Faulkner 操刀，其質感和結像真是一流，聽來無壓迫感是可安心欣賞的佳作。
