The Hollywood String Quintet 成立於 1940s 年代是笫一個在美國訓練有素最優秀的紘樂四重奏。團長是 小提琴手 Felix Slatkin，也是位指揮。The Hollywood String Quartet 在 CAPITOL 唱片公司留下了二十多張錄音，其中以當代作家 如 Villa-Lobos ，Walton ，Schoenberg ，Hindemith 的四重奏最是有名，而古典樂浱 Schubert : String Quintet in C major, D956 演奏出自然的風格，尤其慢板顯現甯靜淡泊的意境令人動容。本唱片被評為 ( 企鵝唱片指南三星帶花 ) 實至名歸。

The Hollywood String Quartet (HSQ) was an American string quartet founded by violinist/conductor Felix Slatkin and his wife cellist Eleanor Aller. The Hollywood String Quartet is considered to be the first American-born and trained classical music chamber group to make an international impact, mainly through its landmark recordings.[1] These recordings have long been regarded as among the most outstanding recorded performances of the string quartet repertoire

American cellist, born 5 February 1913 in Hamburg, Germany and died in July 1976 in Thousand Oaks, California, United States.
